2007 - Mark A. Stansberry

Mark A. Stansberry received the 2007 Fund for American Studies Alumni Service Award during the Fund's 40th Anniversary Celebration held at the Ritz Carlton, Washington D.C. Mark is a 1977 graduate of Oklahoma Christian University
 
The Alumni Service Award is given to an alumnus who has contributed great time and energy to supporting The Fund for American Studies, its programs and its alumni and for an alumnus commitment and achievement in one's profession and community involvement.
 
During the black-tie celebration dinner, Mark and his wife Nancy sang the National Anthem. Actor, comedian and former presidential speechwriter-Ben Stein, journalist-Fred Barnes, former United Nations Ambassador-John Bolton, and senior writer for U.S. News & World Report-Michael Barone presented remarks.
 
Mark is chairman of the GTD Group which comprises several companies. He is presently serving as Chairman of the Governor's International Team, Chairman of the Board of Regents of the Regional University System of Oklahoma, president of the International Society of the Energy Advocates, chairman of the State Chamber's Energy Council, chairman of the International Energy Policy Conference, Board of Trustees of People to People International, Board of Trustees of Oklahoma Christian University, and Board of Directors of Oklahoma Heritage Association.
