The Federation of Business Disciplines recently selected Dr. Kimberly Merritt's submission as the Best Paper in its Association of Business Information Systems division. Merritt, an associate professor of business, will receive the award at the Federation's annual meeting in Oklahoma City February 24-28. Her paper, “Using Experiential Learning to Develop Communication Skills and Increase User Satisfaction with Student Developed Projects,” was coauthored by K. David Smith of Cameron University.
The Federation of Business Disciplines is one of the largest, most prestigious annual meetings for disciplines common to business administration. National and international constituencies of more than 1,300 college professors from schools of business attend its annual meetings.
“We are quite proud of Kimberly and the recognition she has received,” said Phil Lewis, dean of the college of professional studies. “This honor is a reflection of the kind of research and teaching she contributes to the school of business here at OC.”
