With fingerprints and yearbook photos as their only clues, Oklahoma Christian University will attempt to solve the case during the 2008 SherlOCk Homecoming. The festivities of SherlOck Homecoming are planned to kick off Nov. 6 and investigate the mysteries behind Oklahoma Christian.

A weekend full of family-fun activities to celebrate new friendships and rekindle old ones, will jump start with the annual alumni golf tournament and conclude with coronation and basketball action.

“Homecoming is such a special weekend on the OC campus. Having the alumni and their families return brings such a great energy and excitement,” said Katy Watson director of alumni relations. “With such a wide variety of events and activities we know there will be something for everyone to enjoy.”

Food and entertainment will be offered through the OCWA Flapjack Trough Feed Saturday morning and the Rock the Lawn Homecoming Concert featuring Derek Webb. The concert, sponsored by Citizen’s Bank of Edmond, starts at 8 p.m Friday and is free of charge.

Distinguished alumni will be honored at the Homecoming Banquet Friday at 6 p.m. Honorary Alumnus Lyle Harms, Outstanding Alumnus Jeff Dimick and Outstanding Young Alum Joy Rainey will all be recognized during the banquet for their outstanding work and impact in their communities.

Traditional events such as Homecoming chapel, coronation and the carnival and lunch will add to the atmosphere and excitement of the weekend.

Both the Eagles and Lady Eagles basketball teams will continue early season play Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. against Texas Wesleyan.

Guys and Dolls, this year’s homecoming musical, is another of the many events available that will allow audiences to enjoy the entertainment of current Oklahoma Christian students. The curtain will go up at 8 p.m. for each performance. For ticket information contact the Oklahoma Christian box office at 405-425-5540.
