“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Brian to our team,” Academy Executive Director, Nathan Mellor said. “His experience will be invaluable as our program expands, and he has great insight into our purpose.”

“I was pleasantly surprised when this opportunity came to me,” Bush said. “Training tomorrow’s leaders is one of the most important things we can do in my opinion, and I am excited to help the Academy grow.”

In Corporate and Foundation Relations, Bush worked to build relationships with local foundations and corporate partners while overseeing the writing and administration of grants that benefit the OC community.

Assisting OC President Mike O’Neal and the Academy’s Executive Director in various civic, foundation, and governmental relations also fall under Bush’s new responsibilities. He also serves as a liaison between the OC community and the professional legal, tax, and accounting communities, and judicial and governmental officials while overseeing general operations of the Academy including the preparation of budgets and supervising of Academy staff.

Bush graduated from Harding University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and then attained a Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2003.
