section of AlumNews. Matt graduated OC in 2006 and is currently working on a Master's degree in Education at the University of Oklahoma. Matt is also an Admissions Counselor at OC. Student Government Vice President 2005-2006 What is your true calling? I love serving people and making people happy. My calling is to work in Higher Education at OC! How'd you find this calling? I finally had to sit down and just listen to God for direction in my life. What is your biggest personal or professional achievement so far? Running a half-marathon in 2 hours and 7 minutes! Also, being top 3 in an American Idol contest in Tulsa, OK. What is your proudest moment? Singing at the Rodeo Opry and Oklahoma Opry. I love to sing! What is the biggest professional or personal hurdle that you've overcome? Confidence. I usually have none....something I need to work on! What is something people should know about you that is not on your resume? I love discovering more about God every day. I talk out loud a lot to God. Life's motto: No one cares what you know, until they know you care. Your inspiration: God's unconditional love. Teamwork or fly solo: Teamwork. Always. How do you plan to self improve? Admit that I am wrong when I am, and apologize always. Advice for future generations? Live in the moment...your future comes too fast. You in 3 words: Energetic, Kind, Funny Causes you support: Make-A-Wish Foundation How do you spend your down time? Running and watching CMT. Passions and diversions: Singing Country Music. Stress relievers: Running!!! What's next for you? Completing my masters, and possibly my doctorate. What you're working toward: Having a family someday that is spiritual and happy.
