MSB ROCKS JAPAN - Japan tour successful for Matt
The Matt Stansberry Band (MSB), comprised of four
Oklahoma Christian University alumni, recently embarked on their first
international tour to Japan, performing six concerts in four cities.
The tour kicked off to a packed house, acoustic
performance at Bardega in Hitachi, Japan where band played a concert the
following night at the Hitachi Civic Center. In Mito, Japan the band released
their international debut of “We Want Change”, a song from their upcoming
album, into regular rotation on Mito radio and performed at a local hot spot.
The band then traveled to Tokyo to headline “Funktion: We Want Change” at Y2K,
a Tokyo live house, which included three local Japanese bands, a DJ, and an
on-sight artist who created a large painting as the bands performed. The
following afternoon the band played as the featured entertainment for a local
art show, which included a DJ and showcased motion photography of downtown
The band completed their tour in Oklahoma's sister-state,
Kyoto, Japan where the band was greeted warmly as honored guests of the state
and given a tour covering some of Kyoto's historical highlights. The group's
final appearance concluded with a performance to a sold out crowd.
