What advice would you give to current or prospective students? Get involved. Especially in career based extra curricular activities, such as ASID for interior designers, also take advantage of internship opportunities, doing this will allow you to learn outside of the classroom in a “real world” environment. It will also give you the opportunity to network with professionals in your prospective field.
What was the most important thing you learned while attending Oklahoma Christian? AutoCAD… without learning that I wouldn’t be employed now!
What is your passion in life? I probably should say Interior design as my answer to this question, and I do love being blessed with the talent of creativity. However, my passion in life is my family and friends. I value them so much, and with out them I wouldn’t be where I am.
What is your favorite memory from OC? My favorite memory from oc would be going to the coffee shop after chapel, and eating lunch with all my friends. This is the time of day when we would get together and catch up on the OC gossip.
What advice would you share with a soon to be graduate of OC about “the real world?” Keep your integrity and be confident in your abilities. If you aren’t confident they will always know.
