Scholarships - Lynn & Martha Nored Endowed Scholarship

Scholarships - Lynn & Martha Nored Endowed Scholarship Details » Donate Online

LynnLynn and Martha Nored came to Oklahoma Christian University in 1986 to enhance its young engineering program by adding an electrical engineering department.  Lynn served as the department's head, developed its foundational curriculum, established a specialization in communications, and was instrumental in securing its accreditation.  His hard work helped bring the department and its students to their current levels of prestige in the industry.

Lynn always taught that team cooperation was vital to the success of an engineer’s career.  One of the ways he modeled this team concept to his students was in his marriage.  Martha was a vital part of Lynn’s work as they taught and mentored students not only in the class room and lab, but also in their home.  This scholarship endowment honors Lynn and Martha’s years of dedicated service.

Who is Eligible?

The Nored Scholarship supports fulltime students in good standing who are majoring in electrical engineering.

What is the Goal?

The university hopes to raise $100,000.  A larger endowment can generate even greater scholarship support for students.
